Medical weight loss

Physician-led metabolic care, with labs and a real plan.

Care starts with a metabolic workup, and the plan is built from what it shows. GLP-1 and related agents are prescribed when the labs support them, dosed and followed month over month. Because Dr. Shantanu Baghel, DO also manages psychiatric medication, weight, mood, and the prescriptions that affect both are handled as one plan.

04 · Questions

Medical weight loss, answered.

01Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications?
Where it's clinically appropriate, yes. GLP-1 and related agents are one tool within a physician-managed plan, prescribed after a metabolic workup.
02What about the labs?
A metabolic workup is the starting point. It establishes what's driving weight and metabolic health so treatment targets the cause, and it's monitored over time.
03What if I plateau?
Plateaus are expected and managed. Because care is longitudinal, the plan, dose, agent, and approach are reviewed and adjusted.
04Compounded or branded medication?
That decision is made clinically and discussed with you, weighing availability, cost, and what's appropriate for your situation.
05Does this connect to my mental health care?
Yes. The same physician manages mood, hormones, and metabolism, so weight, medication side effects, and mental health are considered together.
06How soon can I start?
Most patients are seen within one to two weeks of the free consultation, with treatment decisions following the metabolic workup.
