Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under federal law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance, or who aren’t using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services. This practice is cash-pay and doesn’t bill insurance, so this applies to every patient here.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
- You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first appointment. You can also ask for one before you schedule anything.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Save a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
To request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling, call (910) 612-6015 or email sbaghel@thebh.us. You’ll receive it in writing within 3 business days.
